Planting Plan
This option is suitable for a discreet area of your landscape. The bespoke plan will be prepared by designers who are formally trained in landscape architecture and focus on the use of native plants for the best ecological impact. The plan will be suitable for installation by you or a contractor. The design can be tailored to fit a specific budget or can meet your overall design goals with the intention of implementation in phases to meet time and budget allowances.
This flexible service can stand alone or build upon a garden coaching or a landscape consultation. For us to get an understanding of the site conditions, scope of work, your design aesthetic, and plant preferences, we will begin by having you complete a questionnaire and upload measurements and photos of the area you want to plant. We have developed this service to be virtual if feasible to keep fees as low as possible. Depending on the complexity of your site, we may suggest a site visit would be best to include.
We will prepare a base plan from which we will create your planting plan. Plans will be to scale with plants represented as circles with each circle representing the plant’s width at maturity. This ensures that when you place the plants in the garden, they will have space to reach maturity without crowding. Each plant will be clearly labeled and we will provide a detailed plant schedule to accompany the plan. From the detailed plan and plant schedule you will have enough information to purchase plants and begin implementation on your own or with a skilled gardener or contractor.
Each planting plan will be client and site specific based on the information we receive in the questionnaire and will include a mix of native species. A maintenance guide can be included as an additional service.
Fee
Fees for recent plans have ranged between $1,400 - $3,500. Upon review of your questionnaire responses and sharing of site information, we will finalize the fee based on the size and complexity of your garden, conditions and listed priorities.
