Landscape Design
This option includes full landscape architectural services and is suitable for those who desire to work with a landscape contractor to realize the design. This iterative service is more than a planting plan as it includes discussion to determine the site function, a detailed site analysis and concept development. We will prepare a concept package then a final detailed design package seeking feedback at each step.
Scope of Services
The scope of services are based upon an initial conversation but typically include:
- Phone conversation then site visit to confirm conditions and desired function and aesthetic
- Creation of digital site base plan
- Project coordination with recommended contractor to confirm details and budget
- Preliminary Concept Plan preparation based on opportunities, constraints and project program incorporating circulation, use areas, and planting design with products including illustrative plan and images, precedent images of proposed materials, and narrative of design intent.
- Review preliminary documents, respond to feedback and questions, confirming design direction to refine final plan according to feedback
- Final Landscape Plan preparation including annotated plan with final materials selection, detailed planting plan, illustrative plant schedule.
Additional services that may be included
- Bidding and contractor selection
- Construction administration and plant sourcing
- Remote or on-site coordination with contractor
- Layout review for conformance with the design intent.
- Maintenance guidelines and calendar
Fee
Design fee includes a complete process from concept design to final plans. We can design to your budget as well as for phased installations over multiple years.
Clients typically invest a minimum of $50,000, inclusive of design fees, plants and contractor installation.
